Green Light Teaching School Alliance is a partnership of schools and institutions in Yorkshire. Shelley College and Heaton Avenue Primary School are both designated as Teaching Schools. Our passion is to ensure the children and young people in our schools achieve their personal best.
Our schools encompass the full age range from 3 to 18 and operates in a wide range of settings, including rural and urban, with a diverse range of pupil intakes. All of our partners are judged to be at least ‘good’ by OFSTED and many are ‘outstanding’. Green Light teaching School Alliance has been formed to allow our partner schools to share skills, experience, talent and capacity to help improve the learning and achievement of young people across the region and beyond.
Across our partner schools there are Subject Experts, Specialist Leaders of Education, Excellent Practitioners, trained Coaches and Mentors, as well as Outstanding Leaders offering support and training. We are offering an opportunity of a career development programme that could take teachers on a journey from trainee to senior leader and beyond.
In association with our lead school Shelley College, Chimp Management company have a unique training package that includes a course developed in partnership with Professor Steve Peters’ Chimp Management company, who have transferred many of the concepts developed to support Olympic athletes achieve their personal best to an educational setting.
