The Specialist Leader of Education focuses upon developing Leadership capacity, fostering best practice and developing the skills, knowledge and expertise of leadership in schools.

At The Green Light Alliance, our Specialist Leaders of Education can work ‘In-house’ in their own schools and in other schools. They can work in conjunction with the Head Teacher, Senior Leadership Team and/or Head of Faculty or in conjunction with Local Education Authorities to support key areas for development. The SLE’s main role is to work in partnership with Leaders, to help them improve their leadership skills and abilities.

A Specialist Leader of Education is matched with a Leader after careful consideration based upon their skill, knowledge, areas of expertise and availability.

The Specialist Leader of Education process develops through a minimum of a 6-week cycle or a selected SLE/School to School Support package. The SLE can work independently or as part of a team. The Specialist Leader of Education process is regularly reviewed, evaluated and adjusted through open and honest discussions, supportive feedback and clear agreed action planning.
