The Green Light Alliance is proud to have run the OLEVI Outstanding Teachers Programme (OTP) and the Improving Teachers Programme (ITP) since 2014. ‘OLEVI has been at the forefront of innovation in Teaching and Learning for over 201 years, leading the developments of Leadership in Teaching & Learning to become a driving force for change.’

Since 2014 the Green Light Alliance has successfully led both the OTP & ITP annually across our alliance schools, with delegates from Green Light Alliance Schools and others across Yorkshire. We have 6 OLEVI qualified facilitators within our Primary & Secondary schools, and many delegates who have successfully completed the course.  This is what they have said …

OTP course objectives

To provide teachers with:

  • The ability to demonstrate higher level understanding of teaching and improve learning for their pupils
  • The ability to coach colleagues and pupils in their own school and in other schools to raise performance levels.
  • The ability to create a proactive school culture where the quality of teaching and learning is openly observed, discussed, challenged and enhanced.
  • Increased professional satisfaction and create opportunities for further leadership and career progression.

Improving Teachers Programme

ITP course objectives

To provide teachers with:

  • Provide their students with the best possible learning experience.
  • Improve standards in their classrooms and schools.
  • Increase their job satisfaction and quality of experience.
  • Work more effectively as active members of their school team.

A key part of the OLEVI Teaching and Learning Portfolio of school-to-school support, which is helping to increase capacity and drive up standards in schools, the programme help teachers deliver consistent high-quality lessons that have a positive measurable impact on student performance.
